Nokia Lumia 520, one of the best selling phones in the Rs. 10,00 bracket had everything going for it to be a bestseller other than the RAM. But Nokia seems to have taken care of this now. Nokia unveiled the successor to Lumia 520 called the Nokia Lumia 525 this week. The phone is primarily launched with the objective to provide better storage that people previously missed in Lumia 520.
The Nokia Lumia 525 has 1GB of storage which is double than 512MB RAM found in other budget Lumia smartphones (Nokia Lumia 520, Nokia Lumia 620 and Nokia Lumia 625). The other specifications of the Lumia 525 are idenical to the Lumia 520.
Another notable advantage is that Nokia Lumia 525 runs on Windows Phone 8 with the Lumia Black update.
It features a 4-inch WVGA (480×800) IPS LCD display, with a pixel density of 235ppi. The Lumia 525 is powered by a dual-core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor alongside 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded up to 64GB with microSD card.
The other features are same as other Lumia phones. To mention Lumia 525 comes with 7GB of free SkyDrive cloud storage. It sports an 5-megapixel rear camera with no front-facing camera. The primary camera on the Lumia 525 features Nokia Smart Camera Cinemagraph lens, Panorama lens, and Bing vision with landscape orientation, auto and manual exposure, and geo-tagging.
The phone is available in color variants that include orange, white, yellow and matte black and the back covers can be changed as well. The Nokia Lumia 525 sports a 1430mAh battery which the company claims can deliver up to 17 hours of talktime and up to 336 hours.
The price and the specific release date of Lumia 525 is not mentioned, but it is rumored that the phone will be launched in January 2014 and priced around Rs 10,000 .
