With HD display phones becoming popular, Karbonn too has developed its latest flagship contributing to this segment. Karbonn launched the Titanium X, a 5-inch IPS capacitive touch screen display with a Full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at Rs. 18,490 this week.
Karbonn Mobiles’ Executive Director, Shashin Devsare, said that with ‘Karbonn Titanium X we are taking the Indian smartphone market to a different level altogether – the level X. Unlike any other smartphone in the market, the Karbonn Titanium X enables the Generation X to live life in the fast lane and discover more into their social interaction”.
The phone comes with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor supported with 1GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The phone is scoring marks for its 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with dual-LED flash, with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling. The connectivity features include Wi-Fi, A-GPS, 3G and Bluetooth, along with NFC. It includes 16GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
The Titanium X is not a dual-SIM phone – it houses a single micro-SIM card slot, as compared to the other Karbonn phones. It is also fitted with a 2,300 mAh battery which the company claims to deliver up to 240 hours of standby time and 6 hours of talk time.
