Nokia announced its latest Windows Phone, a 4.7” Lumia 625 on Tuesday. The 4.7” display of the Lumia 625 makes it the largest in the Lumia series ( Nokia Lumia 1020 being 4.5″), which is well above the iPhone 5’s 4″ screen.
Comparing it with Android phones, the Lumia 625 screen is smaller than the 5″ Samsung Galaxy S4 or the 6.4″ Sony Xperia Z Ultra. Coming at an price tag of approximately Rs. 17,300 the Lumia 625 is one of the affordable phones Nokia has to offer under the Lumia series.

Nokia Lumia 625 is powered by a 1.2GHz Dual Core Snapdragon processor, 512 MB of RAM and 8 GB storage with support for up to 64 GB using SD card. Lumia 625 supports connectivity via USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0+ and WLAN. It has a 5-megapixel autofocus camera at the rear end supports LED flash and captures at 1080p at 30fps. The front facing camera is just a VGA. The Lumia 625 also includes Nokia’s signature camera apps like Smart Cam, Cinemagraph and Panorama.
It also supports HERE Maps, HERE Drive and HERE Transit. It comes with Nokia Music, which offers ad-free, subscription-free music.
Available in five bright colours: orange, yellow, green, white and black with changeable shells, the Nokia Lumia 625 looks trendy and offers personalization. A look at the specifications shows that many innovations found in the recently announced flagship Nokia Lumia 1020, have been incorporated in the Lumia 625.
The phone also sports 4G connectivity making it a viable ‘budget’ Windows Phone. The 625 is built of sturdy plastic that doesn’t feel flimsy or cheap, with no flex or rattle when shaken up.
With access to more than 1, 65,000 apps including Vimeo, Temple Run and WhatsApp, the Nokia Lumia 625 offers surfing on Internet Explorer 10. The Nokia Lumia 625 is planned to begin selling in China, Europe, Asia Pacific, India, Middle East, Africa and Latin America in Q3 2013.
