For its difference in price ranges, LG Nexus 4 has already won the battle, but lets see where all does LG Nexus 4 give away to the Samsung S4.
Style and Sturdiness
The Samsung S4 is lighter and slimmer than the LG Nexus 4, with a bigger screen and better screen clarity. However the LG Nexus 4 seems to make up for it with the overall feel of the phone, which is better than the raw plastic feel of the Samsung S4. The major reason why the Nexus 4 feels so good in your hand is the fact that there is no removable cover, the whole phone is one block, but this gives a major advantage to Samsung S4 as it comes with a removable battery. So of your looking for a phone that you want to carry around in your hand and feels good in your hands, Nexus is your phone, but if you want a rough sturdy phone that you don’t mind putting in your bag along with all your other stuff then S4 stands out clearly.
Speed, Hardware and Software
Samsung S4 is undoubtedly the fastest phone available in the market, with its Quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A15 & quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 and its 2 GB Internal Ram. However the LG Nexus 4 is not so far behind with its quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro clocked at a healthy 1.5GHz and it also comes with a 2 GB Internal Ram.
Samsung S4 also seems to take a lead with its 5-inch full HD screen, which offers a 441ppi pixel density compared to the 318ppi pixel density of the Google Nexus 4.
The biggest disadvantage of the LG Nexus 4, is its memory, it only gives the options of 8 GB and 16 GB, of which the OS itself would eat up 3 GB space, and without a Micro SD slot, the limited memory could be a pain, when you want to store your movies and songs in along with other data. Samsung S4 digs it out and comes with the option f 16/32/64 GB internal memory and a Micro SD slot to top it off.
Both the phones come with Android OS v.4.2.2 (Jelly Bean), though in the Nexus 4, it’s an update away. However both phones come loaded with pre loaded apps, especially Samsung S4, with all its sensors and the S Health app, Samsung S4 is perfect for those fitness freaks.
The LG Nexus 4 comes with a 8 Mega Pixel Main camera and a 1.3 Mega Pixel front camera, which is more than enough for a normal user who isn’t so much into photography. The Samsung S4 however has a 13 Mega Pixel Main camera and 1.9 Mega Pixel front camera, which can definitely bring out the photographer in you.
Overall, LG Nexus 4 is a steal for its price, if you want an economical phone that brings you close to a Samsung S4, for a relatively much lower price go for LG Nexus 4. But if you want the whole deal, with a much faster processor and good memory space along with an incredible camera, go for the Samsung S4.
