Description

The Nokia 5233 is a sleek and stylish handset with a 3.2-inch wide color full touch-screen displaying at 16:9 wide-screen aspect ratio and 640 X 360 pixels resolution. Input is mainly through the wide touch-screen that has dedicated keys for camera, volume, power, send and end, menu, and a media bar touch key for video center, web browser, and get and share multimedia. The Nokia 5233 home-screen has a music plug-in for pause/play, forward and back. The mobile phone can also accept voice commands.

The Nokia 5233 has an extremely responsive touch-screen with tactile feedback. Key features of the display area include accelerometer for auto-rotation of the home screen, Proximity sensor for saving power and pressing keys by mistake, and handwriting recognition.

The Nokia 5233 has a two mega-pixel camera with 3x digital zoom. The imaging system comes with advanced camera functions including white balance, auto mode, scene modes, auto exposure and exposure compensation, dedicated camera key and photo editor. The Nokia 5233 can capture video up to 640 X 480 pixels at 30 fps. Multi-format video playback, video streaming, and video feeds are supported in the Nokia 5233 that also has an on-phone video editor.

The Nokia 5233 has a multi-format music player as well as FM Radio with RDS. Nokia Ovi Player and Nokia Podcasting support adds to the functions. The Nokia 5233 packs sufficient power for continuous video playback of 4.4 hours and Music playback for 33 hours.

The Nokia 5233 uses GSM/EDGE networks at the operating frequencies of 850/900/1800/1900. Automatic switching between GSM bands and Flight mode enhances the functionality of the phone. The Nokia 5233 has superb data networking capabilities and supports CSD, HSCSD, GPRS/EGPRS, EDGE, as well as TCP/IP. Data connectivity is upped by Bluetooth support, MTP, Direct Printing and support for PC with Nokia Ovi Suite.
